Justice Law Collaborative Partner LAURA YAEGER Elected as the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Parliamentarian
Yaeger immediately assume position in AAJ executive leadership for 2025-2026 term
SAN FRANCISCO (July 21, 2025) – Justice Law Collaborative (JLC) today announced that firm partner Laura Yaeger has been elected American Association for Justice (AAJ) Parliamentarian for the 2025-2026 term. Her victorious appointment was announced after the close of voting at AAJ Annual Convention held this week in San Francisco.
Yaeger has dedicated more than two decades to the AAJ, creating, serving on, and leading various committees, making her bid for a role within AAJ leadership a natural progression. Her campaign theme, “Standing Strong. Working Hard. For Everyone,” emphasized her unwavering commitment to inclusivity, transparency, and aspirations to strengthen AAJ’s core mission: to uphold the constitutional right to a jury trial; to advocate for policies that promote fairness and accountability in the legal system; to provide ongoing professional development and support for attorneys who represent the injured; and to ensure access to justice for all.
“The result of this vote holds incredible meaning as it showcases the trust and confidence fellow members have placed in me,” said Yaeger. “I’m fully committed to guiding AAJ’s governing processes and principles with fairness, clarity, and respect, to ensure every voice is heard. I’m deeply moved by the tremendous support received from my professional peers and colleagues, and I look forward to owning and executing the responsibilities of my new role to the best of my ability.”
Yaeger, who is admitted to practice in Florida, North Carolina, and Texas, has practiced complex litigation for more than 20 years, advocating on behalf of individuals injured by lead paint, defective medical devices, and harmful pharmaceuticals. Known as an authentic connector, Laura understands the critical importance of relationships, especially in the legal profession.
Over the years, she has developed a reputation as someone who is always prepared and approaches objectives with meticulous planning and attention to detail. Colleagues describe her as a formidable opponent who is taken seriously by corporate adversaries and respected by the judiciary.
Her professional accolades within the AAJ have also been noted by the receipt of numerous Distinguished AAJ Service Awards and Certificates of Recognition for her contributions. Most recently, the AAJ bestowed the Richard D. Hailey Distinguished Service Award upon Yaeger, an honor presented to members of the AAJ Board of Governors who have provided outstanding support to the president of the AAJ.
Beyond her duties as AAJ Parliamentarian, Yaeger is also a partner with Justice Law Collaborative, the largest women-owned and led plaintiffs’ firm in America. Co-founded in 2021 by Paula Bliss and Kimberly Dougherty, Justice Law Collaborative provides trauma-informed legal advocacy with equal dedication to social justice and legislative reform. In just four years, the firm has gained visibility for hundreds of legal victories against high-profile entities harboring physical and sexual abusers and medical and pharmaceutical operations that have caused egregious harm to consumers. Most recently, JLC has sounded the alarm around alleged consumer fraud and breach of warranty associated with reproductive rights, specifically those related to the sale of a genetic test called preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A), used during the IVF process. The firm has also escalated ongoing legal and advocacy efforts to dismantle the “troubled teen industry” and human trafficking rings. Justice Law Collaborative has been consistently recognized by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as a firm that empowers women, and was listed as a 2025 “Up in Coming” Law Firm on the heels of its January 2025 merger with Yaeger’s self-named firm, Yaeger Law.
Yaeger secured the win as 2025-2026 AAJ Parliamentarian in a contested race against fellow candidate, attorney Rick Barrera.
