Our Intern Team

A valuable component of our firm is our team of interns dedicated to academic pursuits spanning criminal justice, law, the intersection between medicine and law, and government legislation. Our interns assist paralegals and attorneys to prepare for active cases and lead intense research projects that advance our firm’s efforts to affect change in practice areas we are deeply invested in including the “troubled teen industry” (TTI), sexual abuse and harassment, and medical malpractice.

Morgan Maiorano

Morgan Maiorano

Morgan has interned full-time and worked part-time for JLC for 2 years. She recently completed her senior year at Pace University’s Pforzheimer Honors College in New York City where she is double majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice in pursuit of a career in forensic psychology.

While we are not holding her to it, Morgan hopes to continue her education this Fall by pursuing a master's degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling. She has been a tremendous asset to the JLC team and an absolute pleasure to work with. There hasn’t been a project handed to her that she hasn’t turned around ahead of time and with added insight well beyond her years.

A fun fact about Morgan is that she grew up as a competitive dancer who shares her passion for the performing arts by teaching and mentoring the next generation of dancers. She balances her dance responsibilities while interning full time with JLC.

Ryan Scully

Ryan Scully

Ryan, who majored in Biomedical Engineering and minored in Spanish, is particularly interested in the intersection of law and bioscience and will commence her law school journey this Fall (2025). During the summers she has interned with the firm, Ryan has played an role instrumental in researching preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) in the IVF industry and has assisted the JLC team in its efforts to bring accountability for consumer fraud by genetic labs preying on some of the most vulnerable consumers in the United States. Her medical and science background has allowed her passion for law and medicine to shine! Ryan has also contributed to bylined articles written by members of the firm, with one of her co-authored pieces expected to publish in its entirety November 2025.

A little fun fact about Ryan is that while interning with JLC, she also volunteers in the Emergency Department at Mass General Hospital, interning for an OB/GYN medical device company. If that’s not enough evidence of Ryan’s all-around awesomeness, she is also playing in a competitive soccer league!

Teddy Schwab

Teddy Schwab

Teddy recently completed his freshman year at Elon University where he is majoring in history. He is returning to the firm for his second summer and putting his love for history to work by executing detailed research about the “troubled teen industry”.

A fun fact about Teddy is that he taught himself how to play the guitar and piano, and is currently learning to play the harmonica. (He’s incredibly talented!)
